Tresavean Stamps Engine House - Only one out of 13 to survive here. Situated on the eastern end of the mining village of Lanner
Tresavean Mine was the third largest copper producing mine in Cornwall. Its total
recorded output of copper ore was 233,372 tons, a figure bettered only by Dolcoath
in the Camborne-Redruth area in the nineteenth century.
There is considerable doubt as to the date of the original working of this mine, though
it was probably during the early 18th century.
The cache is situated just off the path past the engine house, however please take time to look around the area at the mines and the tunnels and shafts. *A Small flat head screwdriver may be advised to take unless you have strong nails!*
Parking is advised before you get to the rough terrain on Tresavean hill or estate however cars do drive up to the football pitch! your choice and suspension!
You may also want to do Tresavean Tramway Cache at the same time.
You are looking for a disguised film canister
