A cache at the western end of Trewortha Tor, placed to coincide with the "Picnic in the Rain" event - 28/06/2009.
This cache is placed near a large outcrop known as King Arthur`s Bed. One of the rocks has a carved hollow on top, said to be shaped to hold a sleeping knight!
Trewortha Tor is "open access" common land. Arthur`s Bed is just inside an enclosed area at the western end of the ridge. This area is also "open access" but has seasonal restrictions for land management reasons (this year it`s closed from April to September). The cache is close to Arthur`s Bed but just outside the enclosure & can be reached at all times. When access is open, cross the ladder stile and you'll find the hollow rock at the far (western) end of the tor.
The hiding place is among boulders & vegetation, watch your footing!
You are looking for a 2.5 litre painted plastic box.
