Geocache Description:

This is a 2-part multi in the Willow Brook Preserve in Pembroke MA.
The Preserve is a 128 acre parcel sandwiched between route 14 on the east, and the Herring Brook on the west, which forms the southern portion of an extensive watershed associated with the North River.

There is an off-road parking lot and a small sign, which comes & goes quickly as you travel along route 14.  From the parking lot, gravel and grass trails proceed through forests and fields full of songbirds.
Trails in the southerly direction lead eventually to the wetlands bordering the river, and a huge wooden observation tower that looks into the wetlands towards the west.

The 1st stage is on the tower, the final is in the forest down by the water.  A light bushwhack will be required; if you choose the correct approach, there will be no thorns or branches to duck, and no poison ivy.

Also in the Preserve are two older caches; Willow Brook Boardwalk by geo50chevy, and Willow Brook Wander by Hunter, one of the oldest caches in the state; placed Dec 12, 2000.
