South Wales Mountain Cache Challenge 26 is number twenty six in a series of thirty caches that have been placed in the South Wales mountains.
The South Wales Mountain Cache Challenge has thirty caches placed in various parts of the upland areas of the Principality. A mountain is defined as being at least 2000 feet high, but here in Wales, we like to call some of higher hills mountains as well, and so several of the caches have been placed in areas that I perceive to be beautiful, but do not fall within the definition of a mountain!
Please also understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and is an entirely subjective view!
Many of the caches have been placed in the mountains within the Brecon Beacons National Park.
This cache has been placed on an unnamed hill that is east of Ynyshir. When I hid the cache, the larks were singing, the sky was a deep blue with fluffy clouds, and buzzards were soaring below me. The views northwest, north and northeast are extensive. You could link this cache with SWMCC 25 and a 16 mile walk. Other caches are also on route that you may be tempted to find.
Do not forget to look for a clue within the cache, as to find number thirty in the series, you will need 17 clues that are hidden in the first 29 caches in the series.
