Geocache Description:

South Wales Mountain Cache Challenge 23 is number twenty three in a series of thirty caches that have been placed in the South Wales mountains.

The South Wales Mountain Cache Challenge has thirty caches placed in various parts of the upland areas of the Principality. A mountain is defined as being at least 2000 feet high, but here in Wales, we like to call some of higher hills mountains as well, and so several of the caches have been placed in areas that I perceive to be beautiful, but do not fall within the definition of a mountain!
Please also understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and is an entirely subjective view!
Many of the caches have been placed in the mountains within the Brecon Beacons National Park.

It is my personal view, that this cache is placed with perhaps the finest view of all the SWMCC caches. You will locate the cache near Allt Lwyd, a 2000 foot mountain that is situated in the Central Brecon Beacons. Allt Lwyd itself is very grassy, and so it was not really possible to locate the cache there.

You will enjoy a vista to wet any appetite. The Black Mountains and the Usk Valley are what you will be looking at to the east. Sit down, and just enjoy the view!!
