This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Monaro's Forgotten Bridge is located on the Monaro Highway 42km away from the centre of Canberra.

The bridge is part of the old Monaro Highway and has been out of use for many years. It is in a bad state of repair and cannot be driven on.

John Lhotsky, on his journey south in 1834, camped in this area before venturing beyond the 'Limits of Location'. Waterhole Creek was the most southern of the lands settled by Robert Campbell whose other properties included Limestone Plains - now the Royal Military College Duntroon.
