Geocache Description:

I’d like to show you some lovely old ruins, which are sitting in the bush.

The village of Csepely was situated 3-4 km north of Nagyvázsony.
The inhabitants were hunters and cup-bearers of the king in the early 13th century.

The numbers of the inhabitants started to decrease in the first half of the 16th century and the life of the village was influenced by the attack of turkish troops in the year of 1600.
The villagers who survived the attack escaped to Nagyvázsony and never returned.

The village was situated south of the church and was almost 1500 m long, but now only the ruins of the church and a house can be seen.

How to get there: You can park your car near the Nagyvázsony-Urkut road and walk about 500 m to the cache.

The cache: The cache is between the roots of a large oak tree, south of the ruins of the church
