Hiking the trails placed just outside the Lake
Anderson Park (48.00.869, 122.48.446) one will see ramps built by
local mountain bikers which in my mind scream: Broken Collar
Bone. I see the boys eying these with far less
trepidation.
Some of the ramps have been removed because of a
selective logging operation (the cache is not near the logging) but
the one at the cache location is particularly scary. The hike in and
out is about 1 mile round trip. The cache is very easily
found. |
Logging
The rest of the trail system is still available
to hike on. The very selective logging operation will not be
happening until late summer 2009. A very small section of the trail
was deleted by the roads built to get the poles out (this logging
operation is for telephone poles which are being shipped to the
mid-west) but one can easily connect up since we have placed trail
markers on the road. |
Parking is: N 48* 00.869, W 122*
