A visit to a nice picnic and small boat pond.
Bells Pond was constructed by the Ministry of Works as part of the Morven Glenavy Irrigation scheme on the north side of the Waitaki River. The large shallow pond is an ideal venue for small no motorised boats, canoes, sail boats, of learner windsurfers and also for budding fishermen. A grassy area on the northside of the pond is also popular for family picnics. Please leave gates as you find them. Access is from Ross Rd off the Tawai Ikawai Road. The cache is a small screw capped container with logbook only.
