Geocache Description:

A good climb up to the top of Meigle Hill

Park at Gala Cricket Club and walk past the pumping station and just follow the rough path to the top of the hill.

Pause just as you get to the main forest and you get a cracking view East out towards the Eildons.

Wallace's Putting Stone is a Glacial Erratic Boulder standing over 1m tall. it has been inscribed with various visitors names some of them going back over 100 years. The stone sits in a glade in the forest.

This was the first time in about 25 years that I had been up here.

Me, Mrs Rabster and Wee Bubbs all made it up although the wee man was complaining of sore feet by the time we got up there.
