A short offset in the South Sparta cemetery, one of the earliest burial grounds in western New York.
This is a multi in the South Sparta cemetery, final home to many early pioneers and Civil War veterans.
You may find some stones for the oldest pioneers against the perimeter along with numerous war veterans. Please don't night cache or disturb those at rest.
When you find your way to the given waypoint you will see the burial stone of a Civil War soldier whose LAST name starts with M.
Look at his age when he was killed in battle serving in June 1864
