[SWE] Vid koordinaterna finns en minnessten för hunden Lappa. För att komma till cachen ställer du dig med minnesstenen i ryggen och går sedan 30 piratsteg västerut (du bör då hamna vid en eldstad) och sedan 50 steg söderut.
[ENG] A memorial stone for the dog Lappa is located at the coordinates. To find the location of the cache start with the memorial stone to your back and walk 30 pirate-steps to west (you should end up at a fire-place) and then walk 50 steps to the south.
[SWE] År 1846 förliste en seglare med sin båt i närheten av Kofsan. Mannen drunkade men hans hund, Lappa, simmade iland på Kofsan och stod där och ylade av längtan efter husse. Hunden hämtades från Kofsan till Toppmyra gård men hunden simmade tillbaka ut. Efter att upprepade försök att få Lappa att stanna kvar på gården misslyckats, hunden simmade hela tiden tillbaka till ön, avlivades hunden och begravdes på Kofsan. Lappa bevärdigades för sin trofasthet med en minnessten med inskriptionen ”H H Lappa Måns Månssons trogna hund 1846”. H H betyder ”Här Hvilar”.
[ENG] In 1846 a man was shipwrecked near Kofsan. He died but his dog, Lappa, managed to swim to the little island. There it was howling and longing for its master. It was rescued and brought to the Toppmyra farm, but the dog repeatedly swam back to the island. Several attempts to make Lappa stay on the farm failed. The dog always swam back to the island and therefore had to be put down. Lappa was buried on the island and was honored with a memorial stone for its loyalty. The translated inscription reads ”Here rests Lappa the faithful dog of Måns Månsson 1846”.
