Geocache Description:

A lock & lock box and a place other critters to visit

This cache is along one of the quieter hiking trails of Yankee Springs, past the group campsites. You'll have to park at the gate to the group campsite, then hike in (use the parking coordinates!). You should have a state park permit on the vehicle.

The cache is hidden to honor the BSA Wood Badge "Bear" Class and has several travel bugs to honor the members. (Can you guess what they look like?) As these are to be found by the members during a campout later, please just discover them.

This cache was place with the help of Pack 3335 second year Webelos and Troop 350 (Kentwood) while camping out and teaching the Webelos how to cook and to have fun and learn to identify plants and animals while doing a three mile hike.



My wife and I placed it before I went to summer camp. There are travel bugs that can be discovered only before the Boy Scout "bear get together" (Sorry C16-07 Bears, you have to wait until then unless you can't come) to but all other cacher can have fun discovering them. One bear will be staying to guard the cache and would like to have visitors & critters to visit.

While hiking the trail you can do CITO (cache in trash out) at the same time to keep the park clean.
