Dad's Day Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Small plastic ziploc container on switchback of main loop trail in Monte Bello OSP, high above Palo Alto in Silicon Valley. Right on the San Andreas Fault!

We set up this cache on a family hike on Father's Day 2009. It is in Monte Bello Open Space Preserve, about halfway on the main loop trail which is about 3 miles long.

We saw three deer, tons of lizards, and newts swimming in the stream during our hike. A red tailed hawk too!

Look for the sign that reads Insects and invertebrates on the trail. If you are reading the sign, the cache is right behind you in the middle of the switchback.

I left a travel bug in the cache that needs to find its way to the Bennett's 11 cache in San Carlos.
