Geocache Description:

This is the 17th cache in the Are You Taz Enough Challenge.

There have been a number of tough hides of the micro variety lately in this challenge that have taken some of the fun out of caching and left people scratching their heads wonder why they do this. It got me thinking about why I got into caching. I remembered the fun of going on long hikes in the woods with a nice ammo can to find. So it's time to get back to basics.

This is a nice long hike along the Crescent Trail in Perinton, approximately 3.5 miles round trip. Please note that bicycles are allowed on the flat blue trail next to the canal. The terrain rating is only because of the length of the hike. Once you get down the trail a little ways you will need to decide between two paths to get back to where the cache is located. The yellow trail takes you on a more interesting path with some ups and downs that is mostly covered in cool shade. There are some wet spots along the way and there is a lot of poison ivy along the sides of the trail so long pants is strongly recommended. The blue trail is mostly flat and gets a lot of warm sunshine. There is a lot less poison ivy this way, but there are some prickly berry bushes that can bite you as you go by. Both of these trails run close by the canal and will get you to where you need to go. You can find a trail map on the Perinton town web site HERE.

The cache is a 30 cal ammo can filled with some nice swag. I tried to keep it out of the poison ivy in the area but do be careful while searching. Once you've found it, add your name to the log book and when you write your online log/note for the find please include the number with your log entry. Please only one cacher per line in the log book. There is a "lammy" for the FTF. In addition, the FTF'er can choose any item from the swag as a FTF prize.

Because this is an AYTE Challenge cache I will be holding off giving any hints for a period of one week after publication, but you will really not need any for this cache. If for some reason you are having trouble I will be happy to be of assistance after a week.

Congratulations to ChileHead on the FTF!
