This is an old Iris field belonging to Sid & Lynn Harty. They might stop selling Irises, but they’re still very pretty to look at. They used to grow & sell a lot of Irises, but they’re retiring soon & they’re going to just keep enough to enjoy, as soon as they move the beds & combine them into 1. They feel bad about the weeds in the beds, but it’s a project that is on the back burner at the moment. They still sell a few Irises now & then, when people come by. They were very kind to support geocaching & allow a cache on their property, so please cache responsibly. Give 'em a wave if you see them out & about!
The FTF prize is 5 Irises of your choice. Look in the red bag (just TAKE the red bag, including the pins) that is included with the logbook. Their name & phone number is on a card there. If you’re lucky, they might be home & you can pick them out while you’re there. They’re just about done blooming, but I was amazed at how many are still in bloom. Even now it was still beautiful to look at! I would have put this cache out earlier, but I was on a loooong 3-week trip.
