Geocache Description:

A 'bring your own' picnic event at Black Rock Nature Reserve to meet those cachers who have stopped for lunch midway through their 5 mile (8km) walk around Cheddar Gorge and Cliffs
(see the Mega website for details of the walk)

Black Rock Nature Reserve is owned by the National Trust and managed by the Somerset Wildlife Trust.
It consists of 74 hectares of limestone grassland, woodland and rock outcrops at the head of Cheddar Gorge (B3135). SWT leaflets are normally available at Black Rock gate which tell you more about the reserve and have details of two signposted trails that start at the restored lime kiln (close to our picnic area).

Location: Black Rock Quarry
Time: 1pm to 2pm (to be able to sign the log book)
Facilities: Rocks, grass, and foliage (nothing else!)
