Geocache Description:

This cache is atop a hill in the Tucker Preserve in Pembroke, MA.   A Map of the Preserve is available on the Wildlands Trust website.  The map trails are only schematic, and are not accurately drawn to scale.

The trailhead is at the Luddam's Ford Park on West Elm Street.  Park on the south side of the dam.  Walk along the scenic pond & enter into the woods; you will see ruins of old industrial buildings decaying in the forest.
The trail follows the narrowing pond to its source, the Indian Head River, the main tributary of the North River, which drains most of the South Shore.
Steep embankments appear along the river, and some trails lead up into this higher ground.  At an elevation of approx 120 ft, the land levels out into a uniform hardwood and pine forest.

There are some scattered wet areas full of ferns.  The numerous stone walls, and absence of large old trees identify this as former pastureland.  The trails become less frequented as they go further into the Preserve.
The so-called cellar hole may not actually be one; but whatever its origin, it bears all due resemblance to one.

The path to the cache is slightly less than a mile.  You will have to make sensible choices at trail intersections.  No bushwhacking is necessary.  The trails pass close by Brew Bird Cache at Rocky Ridge, a unique cache from 2003.
If you feel like a longer hike, Dwelley Stone Multi is a five part trek located about a mile to the west, on extensions of the same trail system.
