The cache is located at the trail head to the Colinas Bluff Trail, a multi-use trail owned by the city of Laguna Niguel. Parking available on Camino Los Padres.
Start your hike here and bring your dog! This wonderful trail offers panoramic views of Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano. There are several access points along the trail from neighborhood streets, so you can hike the trail in segments if you like.
I prepared this spot and stashed a cache in it around three years ago, but it was too close to a cache in the parking lot across the street so it was denied. Since then the lot has been relandscaped and the tree that held that cache has been removed. An appropriate mourning period has passed and it is time for a cache at the trail head to be born.
