DA:
gamle grave ligger stadig under græsset.

ENG:
The old Essenbæk church was founded in 1100
century. As time went by, the building needed restoration to such
an extend, that it was decided to tear down the old church and
build a new one. The new Essenbæk church was ready for inauguration
in 1869.
The old whitewashed gateway is virtually the only remaining of
the old church site. Parts of the dike still stands, and the old
graves are still below the grass. In 1910 a memorial stone was
erected by the parish council.
It is a nice peaceful place to go for a little walk, and from
certain places the view is great.
