A simple roadside cache highlighting Pine Knob.
Pine Knob, or "The Knob" as it was called by area residents, has been a community landmark for well over a century. This majestic sculpture of stone and timber has been the nucleus for a wide variety of area activities over many decades and was home to the nearby Pine Knob School house until it closed in 1963. The rock has the government's official seal, marking it's 1150' elevation above sea level.
This cache is placed in a private park area with permission of my parents who own and maintain it.
The container is a camo match container.
