Geocache Description:

A quick park and grab (maybe not legal parking) or a nice 3 mile round-trip hike along a mostly flat and shaded trail.

After missing out on a first to find by about an hour while going for Little Deuce Coupe (GC1V815), I was inspired to leave my own cache. I decided to mark the trailhead for Inspiration Trail, in case somebody wants to park along San Pablo Dam Road to simply grab this or continue hiking up the hill to see the inspiring views above.

Because I didn't park on San Pablo Dam Road, I can't vouch for the presence of No Parking signs near here or not. Rather, I parked in a legal area at N37 54.002 W122 12.623 by the intersection of Bear Creek Rd and San Pablo Dam Rd. The cache is rated based on making the pleasant three mile hike on Old San Pablo Trail starting at this known legal spot, along which you may grab Gotham City Scrapbooking Club (GC1PH9V). During weekday work hours, you could potentially park at the EBMUD Watershed Office and shave one mile off your round trip, but again, I can't vouch for the legality of that either.

An EBMUD Trail Use Permit is required if you take the recommended hike to this along Old San Pablo Trail. Daily Permits are available at the Watershed Office (hey, you can park here after all if you're doing business with them, right?) or online through their website at (visit link) where you can download maps as well.
