The WWII Gun Battery is in the town of phillips Head. It was used to watch for ships coming into Botwood Harbour. Don't know a whole lot about it other than that. You can still see where the cannons were and there are rooms where the soldiers slept. It is a sin that it has not been taken care of over the years. It would make a great tourist attraction.
You can go inside but make sure you wear something good on your feet , as the floor is a bit wet and muddy in places.
Cache is not inside the Gun Battery.
