Everyone is invited to the Eastside of Des Moines, referred to by some as 'The Boonies,' for the second annual Breakfast in the Boonies. The geobreakfast will take place at the enclosed shelter house in Grandview Park and will begin at 9:00 A.M. The Grandview Park shelter house offers an indoor restroom, inside seating as well as covered outdoor picnic tables, and nearby playground equipment for kids.
Approximately 20 new permanent caches will be in place. Numbered poker chips will be hidden in selected caches and can be turned in for prize packages. Limit one per geocaching username.
Donuts, milk, and juice will be provided.
The right to claim FTF for the event will be awarded after a little friendly competition.
Grandview Park can be accessed from E 33rd St. or Easton Blvd. The Easton Blvd. entrance provides wheelchair access to the shelter.
The event is open to all, whether you are a geocaching veteran or new to the sport. If you are a geo veteran, come to catch up with old friends. If you are new to the sport, come to make some new friends.
Please log your “Will Attend” so we can provide adequate food and drink.
