Geocache Description:

Cache is small, spherical black duct-taped, plastic container. Located just a few yards off the trail and it's a short walk from parking: N 44 06.938 W 070 09.462 Be sure sure to pull completely off the road. Hunting is allowed, always dress accordingly-boots, pants, long sleeves shirt, gloves, etc.

On July 20th, 1969-at 10:56 p.m. EST the first man stepped on the moon and humankind conquerred its greatest achievement of the 20th century-sending men to the moon: the Apollo 11 with Aldrin, Armstrong, and Collins. To honor this feat, I have placed this cache; and serve as a gas saver for others across the street.

Any dark, open area is a decent location to observe the moon with a telescope, providing it is a cloud free night-will post pics on anniversary date, weather permitting, of the full "buck" moon from area that occurs July 7th, 2009.

Also July 7th, the telescopes will also be working overtime trying to focus in on a lunar eclipse that is invisible to the naked eye.

Experience a night of observation of your own-encourage others and share with them the history of the man on the moon.

Although being a short walk, please note the terrain and attributes. The last fifty feet or so are quite grueling; so please be extra careful of the slippery rocks and roots, loose gravel, overhead, thorny bushes, etc. The best way to access would be to start low, go up over a core drilled boulder, and across to GZ-difficulty has more to do with terrain for getting there and should be a quick find, use the hint-getting there is the mission! Will not be easy, neither was landing on the moon; and you will experience problems, issues, malfunctions, setbacks, etc.; and you will prevail in the end by persevering in your flight, as the Apollo 11 accomplished.

Original contents of cache: log book, pencil, stashnote, and the following "themed" items which are all circular like the moon: an antique bicentennial golf ball, a pair of jade earrings, and an unactivated geocoin. If you take something round; please leave something round-keep it small, for example: geocoins and tb's; keyrings; pathtags; currency; compass; jewlry; toys; etc.

Mission Control congratulates squirreldh successfully landing the FTF!
