This can be a high traffic area, especially during that special weekend in June, please rehide the container as well, or better than you found it.
This cache is located along Gunner Brook. A brook that is stocked by the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Dept, and the Barre Fish & Game Club for the sole purpose of providing a great fishing spot for children. The brook itself is actually posted for sport fisherman. When you come caching with the kids, take some time to bring the fish poles too.
This brook is also home to the Gunner Brook Children's Fishing Derby, held every June. It's a ton of fun, and every child gets a prize. The Gunner Brook Derby is one of the longest running children's fishing derbies in the country.
The cache itself is not too hard to find, but is out of sight due to the number of people each year that come here to fish and spend hours along the shore of this river. In honor of the fishing derby I stuffed it with a bunch things that may be useful for the kids while enjoying the recreation time here. Please be curteous and leave some for the next kid.

I don't get much time to devote to caching, and of the time I get it usually involves going with the kids. As much as they like to do this, they are often dissappointed with a find that is a container too small for trade and trackable items. They are in it for the thrill of the hunt, and the sweet reward of something small. It's amazing how big of a smile a little sticker or a marble can bring.
At the time of placing, there are 97 active micro caches within 10 miles of my house, I thought that was a little excessive. So here is the Too Many Micros series.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a creative micro hide, and in some cases a micro is all that can be done, we just like the treasure.
