Geocache Description:

Take a trip from either Phoenix or Eagle River and follow the old Keweenaw Central Railroad line to the Crestview Resort.
See the old photos, then try to imagine the scene from this location.

You are looking for a small tupperware bowl with a metal can inside. There's a 35mm film container inside with a log. Bring your own pencil. The area is vastly changed from when the original Crestview Resort was there. I have a couple of photos at my website here: (visit link)

I can't guarantee this cache is EXACTLY located where the resort was since there are no remnants left. No foundations. Nothing. The entire structure was wood, and when it burned, it was gone forever. I've positioned this cache according to old maps I've come across.
I placed this with my minivan, so getting up the trail by car from Phoenix is "relatively" easy. I wouldn't recommend a car if you come from the Eagle River side.
