This little park is named for Mr. Floyd Ferrin, a nearly lifetime resident of Moorland. He and his wife were the parents of a son and daughter. Mr. Ferrin was a career Army National Guardsman with over 40 years of service. He attained the grade/rank of Warrant Officer 4. We had the privilege and pleasure to know Mr. and Mrs. Ferrin as neighbors.

In his retirement he created and maintained this small park.
