After deciding on a replacement location I was walking through the parking lot pondering another appropriate name when a Spotted Fawn appeared out of the woods. It stood there for a few moments sizing me up before running away in the direction of the new Final. Perhaps getting the jump on the FTF. The cache name certainly wasn't in doubt any more.
Thanks are still due to Mrs. G Clooney for her contacts that make Geocaching possible at both Stage locations. If you have visited either or both of the Previous "Lion" caches you know what to expect, though everything is in nearby but new locations. The cache final is a large plastic container.
The Cache Final is located on the local Penn State campus. Sundays are an excellent day to search for this cache, but do not look for it at night. After entering the Stage 2 coordinates into your device, if a walk much over 1,000 feet from Stage 1 is indicated, you did something wrong.
A PORTION COPIED FROM MRS. G'S ORIGINAL CACHE DESCRIPTION. The first stage takes you to a lovely site maintained by the Heartland Herb Society (Mrs. G is involved with the Herb Society, and they are glad to have visitors). At Stage 1 you are looking for a pill bottle containing a piece of Red plastic with the Stage 2 coordinates engraved on it. Please do not walk in the raised bed gardens. You may enjoy walking the maze which is located near the first Stage of the cache between the Continuing Ed Building and Janssen.
