A quick find in the Richland Passive Dog Park
There is no actual asparagus near the cache, but you might find some wild raspberries.
The cache is named for our dog, Gus, who is a very enthusiastic geocacher. This park would be in his backyard, if not for the giant cornfield that backs up to the park. If it wasn't for his humans, though, he'd hardly let that stop him.
Richland Passive Dog Park is on 7 acres of land that the township recently acquired from the state. It was formerly a farmed field which has been re-planted with native pines by local middle school students. Dogs are, of course, welcome, but please keep them leashed and clean up after them.
And in a happy bit of luck, we would like to thank SnowVan for delivering home our Mission to Michigan travel bug on 8/16/10. We released Mission to Michigan in Iceland in 2009, sending a souvenir home via TB. We never imagined our travel bug would make it home right into one of our caches. Thanks SnowVan!
