Recomendado
para personas con un mínimo de preparación y sin
vértigo
Cómo llegar:
Aparcar en la Pradera de
Ordesa, accediendo desde Torla en coche por la
A-135.
En verano el acceso por
carretera está cerrado a los vehículos, y existe un servicio de
autobuses desde Torla (aparcamiento gratuito). Consultar antes
los horarios
.
Ascenso:
Seguir aprox. 1 Km
la carretera en dirección Torla, hasta encontrar la antigua
caseta de información. Pocos metros antes veremos el cartel
indicador de inicio de sendero (N42 39.056 W0
04.065)
Continuar por el fresco
sendero a través del bosque. Al poco podremos contemplar el
impresionante Tozal del Mallo a nuestra
izquierda.
Durante el ascenso
observaremos a nuestra derecha el inicio de la Faja Racon, nosotros
continuamos recto hacia arriba y dejamos esa excursión para otro
día.
En (N42 39.811 W0
03.978) veremos un cartel indicador. Debemos escoger entre las
Clavijas de Salarons (izquierda) o la Fajeta (derecha). Nosotros
optamos por las clavijas, pues son mucho más divertidas y
verticales, pero quien no lo vea claro tiene la alternativa más
fácil de la
fajeta.
Una vez superado este
tramo, continuamos dirección norte siguiendo los hitos de piedra
hasta llegar al inicio de la
Faja.
La Faja de las
Flores:
Aquí empieza lo mejor
del recorrido: un fascinante paseo de unos 3 Km, a lo largo de la
parte alta de una pared vertical. Durante el trayecto, fácil y sin
pérdida, disfrutaremos de unas vistas increíbles del valle,
estando a una altura de 1200 metros del
parking.
Es difícil describir
este tramo, lo mejor es vivir la experiencia en persona. Desde
luego,
inolvidable.
Al final de la faja, con
suerte, podremos ver a lo lejos la Brecha de
Rolando.
Descenso:
Hay varias alternativas
de bajada, nosotros tomamos la que se inicia en (N42 39.967 W0
02.626). Con una pendiente pronunciada, pero sin dificultad, se
llega a la espectacular cascada del Barranco de Cotatuero. Allí
deberemos superar las Clavijas de Cotatuero (N42 39.655 W0 02.207).
Hace unos años se le añadió un cable de acero convirtiéndola en
una mini vía ferrata. Aunque para una persona con experiencia
no representan ningún problema, y pueden superarse sin necesidad de
material, nuestra obligación es aconsejar equiparse con arnés y
cinta de seguridad (más vale
prevenir...)
Superadas las clavijas,
sólo queda descender por el precioso bosque de hayas hasta la
pradera.
Consejos:
Excursión larga (7-8
horas), de alta montaña (necesario ropa de abrigo, comida, agua,
impermeable, botas), y muy muy aérea (abstenerse gente con algo de
vértigo). Recordar llevar arnés y cinta de seguridad para las
Clavijas de
Cotatuero.
Totalmente
desaconsejable si todavía quedan restos de
nieve.

How
to arrive:
Park in "la Pradera de
Ordesa", accessing from Torla by car (road
A-135)
During summer access
road is closed to vehicles, and there is a bus service from Torla
(free parking). Please, consult timetable.
Raise:
Follow approx. 1 Km the
road towards Torla to find the old information house. A few meters
before you will see the signpost for the beginning of the path (N42
39.056 W0 04.065)
Continue the fresh trail through the forest. Soon you will see the
amazing "Tozal del Mallo" mountain on your left.
During the climb, you'll see on your right the beginning of "Faja
Racon" (Racon's path),
continue straight up and leave that trip for another day.
Arriving
(N42 39.811 W0
03.978) you will see a signpost. You will have to decide betwen
"Clavijas de Salarons" (Salaron's
nails) on your left, or "la Fajeta" on your right. We opted
for "Clavijas", as they are really much more fun and vertical, but
if you don't feel you have the easiest alternative with "la
Fajeta".
Once overpassed this point, you must continue noth direction,
following the stone markers to reach the beginning of "la Faja de
las Flores" (Flowers's
path)
La Faja de las Flores (Flower's
path):
Here starts the best
part of the trip: a fascinating walk about 3 Km along the top of a
a vertical wall.
During the easy trail you will enjoy with the incredible views of
the valley, being at a height of 1200 meters over the
parking.
It's difficult to describe this part, it's best to experience it in
person. You will never forget it !
At the end of the path, with some luck, you will see at the
distance "la Brecha de Rolando"
(Rolando's
Gap)
Return:
There
are several alternatives to return, we took one that begins
in(N42
39.967 W0 02.626). With a important slope, but without dificulty,
you will arrive to the spectacular waterfall "Barranco de
Cotatuero" (Cotatuero's
Ravine). Here you'll have to overcome "las Clavijas de
Cotatuero" (Cotatuero's
Nails)
(N42 39.655 W0
02.207). Some years before a steel cable was added, making it a
short climb way. For experienced peopple they are not a problem,
and are easy to pass without climb material, but our duty is to
advise to be equipped with harness and safety belt (better safe...
)
After the nails, you only have to follow the path down throught the
lovely beech forest to the
meadow.
Advice:
Long trip (7-8 hours),
high mountain (need warm clothes, food, water, rain clothes, boots)
and very very aerial (not suitable for people with vertigo). Don't
forget
harness and safety
belt for "las Clavijas de Cotatuero"
(Cotatuero's Nails)
Strongly not recommended if there is snow.
Don't forget your camera !!!!
The cache is betwen the wall and the path.
DON'T lean out to the
precipice !!!
