A cache with a view across Hollingworth Lake.
This cache is situated at the side of a path which leads from Hollingworth Lake to Milnrow. It is named after some ruins that are located oposite the cache site. I was originally going to call it Roadfield Ruins after a nearby wood, but I decided Deep Lane was better suited.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE TO THIS CACHE - The route from Milnrow may look like a road on some maps but the cache can only be reached by walking, cycling or on horseback, so the best place to park would be at Hollingworth Lake or Milnrow.
If you are approaching from Hollingworth Lake, the best way is to head towards Rakewood as far as the Rugby Club, and turn right, down a path by the side of the pitch, and then follow this path up the hill.
