Geocache Description:

Situated near Baldy Bowl (elevation 8400') in Angeles National Forest.

Year round, I love to hike, climb and ski Mount San Antonio (Mount Baldy). This is one of my favorite routes.

Register Ridge, aka Harwood Ridge, is a tougher alternative to the busy Ski Hut Trail. It steeply ascends the prominent ridge east of Baldy Bowl to meet the Devils Backbone Trail midway at about 9350'. This makes for a great loop over the summit and down past the Hut.

Start on the Ski Hut Trail. Shortly after passing the register box, a path veers right uphill off the main trail. This steep use trail is unmarked, unmaintained, and loose in places. You will likely be alone. Did I mention it is steep?

It may be unavailable with snow. No stickers in the log please. Modest swag awaits the first to visit.
