Located in Wunderlich Park off the Alambique Trail. It's about a 2 mile climb of about 1000 feet from the parking lot on a well maintained trail.
For a park with 12 caches, I was surprised there wasn't one here so I jumped right on it. Three years later, I placed my first cache.
The cache is at Alambique Flats in a Redwood grove that offers nice cool shade after the long hike. It also makes reception difficult, which is why I gave it a difficulty of two. My reading averaged down to 24 feet. An experienced cacher shouldn't have any problem with the location.
The cache is well off the main trail, but the grove is quite open with very little tree litter or under growth and contains several well worn paths. There is no Poison Oak whatsoever.
The cache is a 6x* inch lock and lock clear plastic container with a blue lid. When placed, it contained a Sacagawea dollar for the first to find, a soccer coin, a new stubby pen, a log, and a pencil. Please replace and hide as found. This area has a lot of muggles as evidenced by the well worn trails
