Geocache Description:

DISCLAIMER: This is a hard event to hike and survive. the rating 5/5 is well deserved. Attend if you dare... *IMPORTANT* Meet at the above coordinates at 10am on Friday. *We will all go IN AND OUT as a group.* We will return to the world of the cell phone on Sunday afternoon. You should be home before dinner. The powers that be have made this a 3 day trip this summer so there will be more time to enjoy being at the lake.

**Im SO not kidding!**

I just want to make it clear that there are NO SERVICES of any kind in the course of this event. the "trail" is rustic and not well defined or marked. The "Camp" is just a bare spot on the bank and you will have to pack all of your gear (Sleeping, eating, clothing, water, food, camera, stove) on your back in and out of the 1.75 mile 1052 ft elevation loss on the way in and gain on the way out. It will take 3 to 4 hours to hike in and 4 to 5 hours to get out. This depends on the weather, the temperature, the state of the vegetation (downed trees etc..), and the weight of your pack. Be prepared.

There is no cell service and no roads (except at the "trailhead"). Also I think it would be a very bad idea for people to try and leave early, (unmarked trail, easy to get lost) it is a much safer journey as a group. Im not trying to discourage anyone, I just want to have some truth in advertising here. --Odder

Find the entrance from highway 20 east of Cascadia by turning north on Moose Creek road(2025), and immediately turning right again on 2027. After 5+ miles, fork left onto 720, go .2 miles and park.

This hike includes a 1.75 mile hike on a rugged "trail" with a 1052 foot elevation loss that leads you to a pristine log choked natural lake fed by several waterfalls. The fishing is good.

Be prepared for a rugged experience. There are NO services of any kind here. Bring a real backpack, tent, bedding, and any food and water you may want. A water filtration unit is nice if you have one.

There is a communal feast for dinner each night.

Should be fun.

P.S. The event is not at the posted coordinates. That is just the trailhead. The event will take place at Moose Lake itself. Any claims of attendance to the event must be accompanied by your name in the logbook which will be available upon arrival to Moose Lake. Thank you. --Odder
