Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.
The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

This is just one cache in a series to show some of our favourite places in the area.
Please park at GC1TJM1 (Parking Spaces).
This is a lovely woodland glade with the Nant Gain running through it.
Children have played down here for many years, swimming when the river was deep enough. Now they build dams and generally splash around.
Sometimes, after heavy rainfall, small Trout Fry are washed down here from the nearby fishery.
At its deepest in winter the water reaches to just below the bridge. The current can be strong enough to wash you off your feet, but usually there is just a gentle flow.
This cache is 35mm film container containing a log book only. You will need to bring your own pen/pencil.
** Please be sure to replace this cache EXACTLY where it was found. Local kids have found this cache several times in the past and caches have been lost to floodwater due to them not being replaced correctly!**
