Birdie at the Tregaron Golf Course Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

JETSchmidt: Just yesterday I received the word
Every cacher dreads
That storm we had the other day
Snapped a tree to shreads
Cachers know what happens when
Hit by a tree is a cache
My little Birdie did not survive
Its house the branch did smash
Damaged not was the swag inside
Though a total loss the art.
Tis not for the loss of cache I feel
Heaviness in my heart.
Although it's true I like this one,
Never mourne I a loss in a game.
Killed however is the Tree
So this spot will never be the same.
Yesterdays we have a plenty
Obvious as that may be
Unknown is our tomorrow
As unpredictable as the sea.
Let us all remember then, and with
Love, plant another Tree.

I have decided that it is best to archive this hide, at least for now. The tree looks to be done for. If, however, whoever cleans up the tree leaves a live part behind, I will attempt to revive this hide.
Thanks to all who have looked for and found this cache. I enjoyed all of your logs!

Geocache Description:

If you Slice off the Tee, your ball may end here!

Placed on 7/8/9 at 10:11 pm
No story behind this one, I've played little golf in my life. But this cache brings you a little closer to the course near my home. This cache isn't quite on the golf course, but you can watch golfers tee off while you're searching for it.

This cache started life with a "mystery" hot wheel, log, and (of course) a golf ball!
