A simple cache in a beautiful area
Herdísavík is yet another of Iceland's hidden treasures.
The cache is near Hlíðarvatn and Strandakírkja, both of which are well worth a visit.
You may wish to combine this with the Krysuvík cache in a scenic south coast tour.
As ever, do be careful on the roads: there will be snow and ice from November to April, the gravel will be extremely slippery in summer, and there are free-roaming sheep.
