Tren de la costa Ride II - Barrancas
This is the second of a series of caches hidden along the coast
of northern Buenos Aires.
The "Tren de la
costa" is a touristic train that unites more that 15 km (9
miles) of the coast through stations every couple km/mi. Each
station offers various forms of entertainment and enjoyment for
both adults and children, excellent views of the Downtown Buenos
Aires coastline and much more.
Each of these "turn of the century" picturesque stations has a
charm of it's own, and many have history and art displays, plazas,
cafes, antique shops, movies, boutiques and restaurants. The ride
ends in Tigre, on the shores of the beautiful and mystic Delta.
From there, it is possible to visit the
Puerto de
Frutos (an ideal place to get souvenirs and gifts), the
Parque de la Costa
(an amusement park) or take a ferry to get deep into the
labyrinthine islands.
These series of caches take advantage of these stations, as they
act as a linear mall where you can hop from station to
station with the same ticket, and search the sourroundings of each
station for one of these caches.
To get to the Tren de la Costa, get to the Maipú or Libertador
Station, they are the ones that are nearer to downtown Buenos
Aires.

When to search for the cache
When searching for this cache
please avoid busy moments such as weekends and
holydays, as this area gets really crowded with
geomuggles.
In Argentina the Geocaching is not yet a game as popular as in
other countries, and is common that geomuggles steal caches just
for fun. So, please search and pick up the cache when no one is
looking, and later leave the cache the same way. Always try to
pass unnoticed.
Cache Location
Some 250 meters from the
station, at the opposite side of the river and the
fair, you'll find the cache. Its a small canister that
holds only the log and a pencil. Find it, sign the log and continue
hunting for the other caches.
Paseo II del Tren de la costa - Barrancas
Este es el segundo de una serie de caches escondidos a lo
largo de la costa norte de Buenos Aires.
El Tren de la
costa es un tren turístico que une mas de 15 km de costa a
través de estaciones a cada pocos km. Cada estación ofrece varias
formas de entretenimiento y diversión tanto para adultos como
niños, excelentes vistas de la costa de la ciudad y mucho
mas.
Cada estación tiene un estilo de principios del siglo XX y un
ambiente particular. Muchas tienen paseos de arte, plazas, cafes,
venta de antiguedades, cines, boutiques y restauranes. El circuito
finaliza en Tigre, sonbre la costa del hermoso y místico Delta.
Desde allí, es posible visitar el
Puerto de
Frutos (un lugar ideal para comprar souvenirs y regalos, a buen
precio), el Parque de
la Costa (un parque de diversiones) o tomar un catamarán para
ir a la profundidad de las laberínticas islas.
Esta serie de caches tomas provecho de estas estaciones, ya
que las mismas actúan como un centro comercial lineal donde
puedes ir de estación a estación con un único pasaje, y buscar
en los alrededores de cada estación uno de estos
caches.
Para llegar al tren de la costa, llega a la estación de Maipú
o Libertador, son las que están mas cerca del centro de Buenos
Aires.

Cuando buscar el cache
Al buscar este cache por favor
evita momentos de alta actividad como los fines de
semana, esta área se llena por completo de
geomuggles.
En Argentina el Geochacing todavía no es tan popular como en
otros paises, y es comun que los geomuggles roben los cachés por
simple diversión. Por lo tanto, por favor busca y recoge el
cache cuando nadie esté mirando, y luego deja el caché tal cual
como lo encontraste. Siempre intenta pasar
desapecibido.
Ubicación del Cache
A unos 250 metros
de esta estación, del lado opuesto al rio y la feria, se
encuentra este cache. Es un pequeño frasco que tiene solo la
bitácora y un lápiz. Encuentralo, firma el log y sigue la búsqueda
de los otros caches.
