The cache is hidden on the former military base which was once the pride of the Royal Canadian Air Force. This used to be a thriving community, but now is almost abandoned. Hopefully, in the not-too-distant future, it will again become a place where people can enjoy living, as it is such a prime location.
The cache is an ammo can which contains a log book and pen, and some trade items. It is hidden in a wooded area, and there is parking nearby.
UPDATE 16 Jul 2009.
As a result of a note from geocachers who were questioned by the Military Police (MP's) while searching for this cache last night, I contacted the MP's and was given the following information; the entire former Rockcliffe Air Base is subject to patrol by the MP's; the cache is is permitted to be placed as is, and they recommend that searches be limited to daylight hours only.
