The posted coordinates are NOT the cache coordinates, but they will lead you to the trailhead. There is plenty of parking here.

 This is a Puzzle themed cache. You will find a camouflaged ammo can where you can trade a puzzle for a puzzle. You will need to solve this puzzle to reveal the correct coordinates for the final cache.

Sudoku is the latest puzzle craze with many variations. It is a test of logic and patience. It’s fun! It’s challenging! It’s addictive!

This is an Alpha Sudoku puzzle. You solve the puzzle with reasoning and logic. Fill in the grid so that the letters T, S, P, W, N, Y, I, A and O appear only once in each row, column and 3x3 grid mini-box. Once you have solved the puzzle, the solution will reveal a 9-letter word. You will need this word later in solving the puzzle.

The next step is to take all of the letters in the grid and exchange them for the numeric equivalent (i.e. A=1, Z=26).

Now, for some simple math – just a little addition and subtraction. Nothing complicated. Once you have summed up your math, plug the numbers into the formula below, and you will get the coordinates for the final cache.

Remember that 9-letter word? Take the numeric equivalent and add the numbers. Sum + 190 = ABC.

H2 + B5 + E5 = DE

(E4 - C8) + F6 = F

(A3 + G7) - (G1 - H5) = GH

E1 - G6 = I

(D8 + H9 + G3) - F2 = JK

Now the fun begins! The posted coordinates will lead you to a trailhead of paved bicycle/golf cart paths. Begin your journey. Finding the final cache can be a puzzle in itself. Use your geosense. You will need to decide which way to approach the cache once you depart the paved trail. If you choose the wrong way – you will find yourself wishing you had brought your waders.
