Geocache Description:

Placed with the owner’s permission. This cache was part of the 2009 Molalla Geocoin Challenge; all coins have been given away. Thanks for visiting!

One of the jewels of the Molalla area is the Molalla River Recreational Corridor, and this stop is on the way there. The Molalla River flows from the mountains south of Molalla, through public and private forests, towns and cities, and agricultural lands to enter the Willamette River near Canby. It includes a wide variety of opportunities for people to explore nature – fishing, primitive camp sites, whitewater kayaking, and trails for hiking, equestrian, and mountain bike use. Steelhead, salmon, and native cutthroat trout spawn and rear in the upper river and its tributaries.

And on your way there, stop by here. You’re looking for a container about the size of a 35mm film canister. If someone’s here, stop in and say thank you to another friendly Molalla-area business!

For more information on the Molalla River and recent expanded efforts to protect and improve the corridor, visit the website of the Molalla River Alliance, a consortium of diverse environmental, economic, and recreational groups.
