Geocache Description:

The cache IS NOT at the coordinates listed! The difficulty and terrain ratings are subject to change depending on the weather and time of year. Some bushwhacking is required. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS FROM THE FREEWAY, use exit #36 off of I-70. Muggle activity will vary depending on the time of day.

This is my first try at placing a cache. It is a simple puzzle cache that will require a little internet research to get the correct coordinates. Here we go!

North Coordinates - 1 = ___ 2=___ 3= .____

1. This sweeping Civil War epic was the first movie shot in color to win an Academy Award for Best Picture. What year did Gone With the Wind premier in Atlanta, GA?

2. Gary Cooper starred in what may be the all time best Western ever made, “High Noon”. Cooper plays the role of a sheriff that is past his prime that defends a town of cowards and hypocrites against ruthless outlaws and wins the Academy Award for Best Actor. What year was High Noon released?

3. Five-time champion (and now California Governor), Arnold Schwarzenegger prepares for the 1975 Mr. Olympia and Mr. Universe contests along with Lou Ferigno and Franco Columbo, in the movie, “Pumping Iron”. What month and year was this partially scripted, partially documentary movie released in the USA?

West Coordinates - 1 = ___ 2=___ 3= .____

1. Sally Field portrays Edna Spalding, who finds herself alone and broke on a small farm in the midst of the Great Depression when her husband the sheriff is killed in an accident. With the help of an odd assortment of helpers, she tries to keep the family farm going and her family together as best she can. For her role, she is the winner of the Academy Award for Best Actress. What year was Places In The Heart released?

2. Thomas Edison (yes THAT Thomas Edison), was the very first to take the Charles Dickens Christmas tale of the miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge and his visitations and put it on film in “A Christmas Carol”. Charles Ogle portrayed Scrooge in this vintage reel classic which I doubt many of us have seen. What year did Edison make his version of this Yule time standard?

3. Yul Brenner and Deborah Kerr star in Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I. It is the story of Anna Owens, a widow who after the death of her husband, moves from England to Siam with her son Louis to become a teacher for the children of the king of Siam. What month and year was this musical classic release in the USA?
