in our disclaimer.
This cache is placed at the Nsumu Pan in the Mkuze Game Reserve.
This pan is home to communities of hippo, crocodile, pelicans and a diversity of ducks and geese which gather in the spring.
The cache is a clear, medium sized container and placed on a path along the picnic sites at the pan where you are allowed to exit your vehicle. Please note that there ARE hippos, crocs and snakes in the area so care should be exercised at all times when here.
It would be wise to use a stick when prodding for the cache, just incase you are intruding someone's home. When replacing the cache please replace it as you found it, ie not too deep and to cover it once again.
Directions:
For visitors from the south, the turn off to Mkuze is signposted 35 kms north of Hluhluwe.
From this point, the road is gravel. Approximately 15 kms further is another signposted road through the Lebombo mountains.
The entrance to the reserve is 10 kms along this road which is clearly signposted.
Visitors from the north must travel to Mkuze village which is 18 kms from the entrance gate and 28 kms from Mantuma camp.
This is an Ezemvulo Wildlife Park so entrance fees are applicable if you don't have a gold rhino card.
Gate Times:

Winter (April to September ) - 06h00 to 18h00
