Very easy micro cache placed near the rocking stone on Pontypridd Common.
This is a great place to visit not far from Pontypridd Hospital, with a marvellous view over the town. This is a very well known local landmark, often linked with the famous Dr. Price (for those interested there is lots of information on the internet about both this place and Dr. Price). There is a large stone surrounded by two concentric stone circles. It does indeed rock slightly back and forth if you sit or stand on it. The rocking stone itself dates from Neolithic times, but the stone circles are much more recent, being placed there about 100 - 200 years ago, but there appears to be some dispute about exactly when. There is an older stone circle/round barrow ? located near the site at N51 38.215 W003 19.820, and there are other stones dotted about the common. There are several places to park nearby along the road. The cache could be done well within an hour and should easily be done by all including disabled. You are seeking a key holder cotaining a log book. There should be room to place calling cards.
