Geocache Description:

Nearest car park is at Forty Hall N51° 40.201 W00° 03.958
open during daylight hours. There is a cafe in Forty Hall; this is now open.

A cache set in the grounds of the historic Forty Hall. There are areas of long grass with mown paths; as you walk through you will hear the sounds of grasshoppers and crickets in the summer. At the bottom are fishing ponds edged with rhodedendrons and a section of the New River with many types of trees, some of which seem quite old. Many birds can be seen and heard hence the name of the cache. In the woods depending on the time of year there are snow drops and blue bells.
Muggles tend to be either dog walking, fishing or jogging.
The cache is a medium sized tupperware container, fairly well camouflaged and is not more than 15ft off a trail. Ground is also very muddy and waterlogged in places. WELLIES!
