Geocache Description:

Cache is located near a boat launch on Big Mantrap accessible by boat (preferable) or by minimum maintenance roads that would likely require a truck. Please take the time to cover the cache thoroughly before leaving.

This cache meets the guidelines set by the MN State Forest Geocaching Policy and MN DNR.

The boat launch is not maintained and there is no dock, but you can beach your boat and walk in. The roads are less reliable and may be in poor condition depending on weather. If you can't drive the whole way you can hike the last bit fairly easily. The walk might be challenging, but much easier than finding someone to pull out a stuck vehicle.

This area is fairly secluded and doesn't see much traffic. This is a beautiful area and there is a lot of local wildlife here including loons, eagles, ducks, bears, herons, owls, snapping turtles, and big fish. Watch out for poison ivy.
