How long will the bridge be closed? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Yowza-PA: We have our answer... this bridge will be closed forever (they have totally removed it)... and it looks like they are making a new bridge to replace it. Time to archive...

Geocache Description:

On an aging one-lane bridge... no, make that a no-lane bridge. This bridge has been closed to traffic for quite some time, although it is open for pedestrians and fishing-people who like to try and catch the trout living in Mahoning Creek below.

This is one of the old metal truss bridges that were built to sustain the weight of a tank for centuries. For some reason, the folks responsible for such things have decided the bridge can't handle the posted 13 ton weight limit. Since there is an easy route around to the other side, I suspect even the 2009 economic stimulus package won't fund replacing this "infrastructure".

There are two ways to this location, one from Rt. 642 and the other from Kaseville Rd. Just so people won't get too suspicious about the extra "dead-end traffic", I suggest that 1/2 of you take the Rt. 642 approach and the rest take the Kaseville Rd. approach. Can you take care of sorting that out please?
