Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of caches. Each one is an individual cache, and together they lead to a final destination, with a prize for the first to find.

The clapper bridge is the oldest and most basic type of bridge construction. There are many examples distributed throughout Dartmoor, perhaps the most celebrated being the one at Postbridge.

Most of the bridges are centuries old, but this cache is hidden near a newer one, only 200 years old. Often the subject of paintings and postcards, this bridge is located in Scorhill Down in north east Dartmoor.

This cache is part of the Heart of Dartmoor Series. Inside each cache is a yellow card with 2 numbers on it. Please ignore the Greek letter clue. The other clue will help you to find the Heart of Dartmoor Bonus
