I grew up the street in Sturdy Oaks, and this root beer stand is
one of my favorite memories as a child. As kids, we would ride our
bikes here to get a nice cold mug of root beer or some good eats.
While visiting my mom who still lives in Sturdy Oaks after all
these years, it only seemed fitting to put a cache at this
location.
As kids, it was always a treat to stop here on a warm summer
evening to have a root beer float with the family in our car. The
four kids always fought over who was going to hit the "order" or
"pick up" button. Oh, what excited us as small children.
While on a visit to place the cache, I had the pleasure of
talking with the owner, Rick, who approved placing a cache
here.
